Hermès Scarf 90 cm – Les Pivoines – Christiane Vauzelles (1977, 1990 reissue)
VENDU
Created in 1977 by Christiane Vauzelles, Les Pivoines (The Peonies) is a scarf of great softness, emblematic of the Hermès taste for refined floral compositions.
The design features large peonies in full bloom, spread in a wreath around a luminous centre structured by a delicate caning motif. The flowers seem almost suspended, carried by a delicate palette of whites and powdery pinks, enhanced by touches of soft green.
Reissued in 1990, then revisited in 2006 in a version without the central caning, this design is sought after today for its finesse and timeless elegance.

A word from Diane
Les Pivoines is one of those quiet designs that do not seek to impress but work straight away. The palette is subtle and easy to wear, and the floral motif remains elegant without being overly decorative. It is also a good starting point for a collection: a classic, enduring Hermès piece.
